A moving hand shifts the pitch of reflected sound. Higher means toward the device; lower means away. This gallery translates that shift into navigation. It senses movement, not hand position or left/right location.
Recognition depends on your audio hardware.
Signal test & troubleshooting
If no pilot tone is detected, check that sound comes from the device speakers, choose the built-in mic, or try 18.0 kHz. Some devices filter these frequencies. Close other audio apps and recalibrate with your hands still.
The signal test generates silent synthetic audio through the browser’s audio analyser and gesture detector. It checks the software and gallery actions, not physical hand recognition.
